Purna was originally scheduled to travel to Switzerland in the summer of 2025. Ruth and Purna had already prepared various training courses together – from sustainable coffee cultivation and visits to organic farms to computer, photography, and film workshops. Their time together in Switzerland was intended to generate new ideas and valuable experience for future projects.

But their joint plans took an unexpected turn: Purna's visa for Switzerland was not granted.

For Ruth and Purna, this was initially a great disappointment. At the same time, they realized that joint projects are not dependent on a specific location. If the meeting couldn't take place in Switzerland, then it should continue where their shared vision originated – in Nepal.

So, at the end of 2025, Ruth travelled to Nepal again.

What was originally conceived as an alternative, in retrospect, became a decisive turning point. During this journey, the shared vision was further developed and, for the first time, translated into concrete action. Together with the local population, the first educational project was created – a project that laid the foundation for many more joint ventures.

During their stay, Ruth and Purna spoke with the local people. Together they considered where a lasting difference could be made with simple means. It quickly became clear that the school in the mountain village of Grang needed support in various areas.

Subsequently, school backpacks, notebooks, writing materials, books, sports equipment, winter jackets, and other learning materials were organized. At the same time, paint was procured to renovate the school building and several classrooms together.

The project was officially implemented on December 30, 2025.

Around 450 people from the region came together to celebrate this special day. For Ruth and Purna, it became clear how much mutual trust, gratitude, and community can arise when people take on responsibility together.

The population welcomed Ruth and Purna with traditional music, dances and khatas – the Nepalese lucky scarves as a sign of respect and appreciation.

After the celebrations, the children received their new school supplies. At the same time, the first work began to beautify the school building and classrooms. For Ruth and Purna, this day was far more than just the handover of materials. It showed them what becomes possible when people listen to one another, share responsibility, and act together.

This first educational project gave rise to the conviction that sustainable changes must always be developed together with the local population – an idea that later became the foundation of the Infinity Help Foundation.

It showed that even small steps can trigger big changes if they are developed together with the local people.

This experience had a lasting impact on the future path of the Infinity Help Foundation.

From the first joint educational project, further initiatives developed step by step – including the establishment of the coffee plantation in Ramche as the first long-term development project.

Each project tells its own story. Together they show how a vision can lead to long-term perspectives.
