Immediate relief after the flood disaster in Nepal.

When home is suddenly no longer safe.

September 2026 · Ramche, Grang & Low Grang · Rasuwa, Nepal

The flood disaster of August 2026 also severely affected the people in Ramche, Grang and Low Grang. Families are mourning loved ones, people are still missing and the ongoing rainfall continues to pose further challenges for the region.

For the Infinity Help Foundation, these villages are much more than just locations for their work. They are communities with which we have been connected since the beginning of our work. Ramche is Purna's home.

Therefore it was quickly clear: what is needed immediately is what counts now.

What has happened?

Many people from Ramche, Grang and Low Grang worked in the area where the flash flood struck. To this day, people are still missing. Families are mourning loved ones and, according to the information available to us, children have also lost their parents.

The continued rainfall is further compounding the situation. Slopes and ground are unstable, and houses have been damaged or destroyed.

For the families affected, this means having to cope with loss and uncertainty – while at the same time carrying on with everyday life.

For Purna, Ramche is home.

Purna was born in Ramche and remains closely connected to the people and the region to this day.

When the scale of the catastrophe became apparent, Purna, together with his team, began to organise initial relief supplies.

On 13 September 2026, Purna set off for the affected villages with a local relief team and a loaded lorry.

Five hours turned into three days.

Under normal conditions, the journey to Ramche takes about five hours.

This time it lasted for three days.

Persistent rain and difficult road conditions made the drive into the mountain region considerably harder. Nevertheless, the team continued on their way.

After three days, Purna and the team reached the region safely. The food, clothing and other relief supplies they had brought with them were then distributed in Ramche, Grang and Low Grang.

The help continues.

The first distribution is complete. However, what support will be needed in the coming weeks and months cannot yet be fully estimated today.

Purna therefore remains in close contact with the people on the ground. Together, they decide where help is currently most urgently needed and what next steps should be taken as a result.

Together, the coffee plantation in Ramche continues to grow.

The coffee plantation in Ramche is developing step by step. After the first plants did not bring the desired success, new seedlings were selected and planted together with experts.

This project demonstrates that sustainable development requires time, patience, and a willingness to learn from challenges. These are precisely the values that have shaped the work of the Infinity Help Foundation from the very beginning.

We look forward to accompanying the further development of the plantation together with the local population and reporting on it regularly.

Encounters that connect

The Infinity Help Foundation thrives on personal encounters and close exchange with the local people.

Whether it's visits to the villages, conversations with families or joint project planning – every encounter helps to better understand needs and to develop sustainable solutions together.

In this section, Ruth and Purna will regularly share impressions from Nepal as well as news about the work of the Infinity Help Foundation.
