Some trips leave behind beautiful memories. Others change your perspective on life.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

For Ruth, the story of the Infinity Help Foundation began with a dream she carried within her as a child:<\/p>\n

One day she wanted to travel to Nepal, see the Himalayas with her own eyes, and meet the people who live in this unique mountain world. In the autumn of 2024, she fulfilled this long-held wish. But shortly before her departure, her trip was overshadowed by personal tragedies. She faced the difficult decision of canceling everything or pursuing her dream anyway.<\/p>\n

After many conversations with her seriously ill sister, she finally decided to embark on the journey \u2013 without suspecting that this journey would change her life forever.<\/p>\n

During a trek through the remote Tsum Valley, she met Purna Lopchan, a local mountain guide who grew up in the mountains of Nepal. Initially, their conversations were brief as they hiked together.<\/p>\n

But with each passing day, more trust developed. They both sensed that they shared similar values and were concerned with the same questions.<\/p>\n

A chance encounter gradually blossomed into a friendship. Through shared conversations, a vision developed that later led to the founding of the Infinity Help Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

When Ruth arrived in Nepal in the autumn of 2024, a long-cherished childhood dream came true. However, what she experienced there surpassed anything she had ever imagined.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Impressed by the majestic Himalayan mountains, their journey took them deep into the remote Tsum Valley. But it wasn't the breathtaking landscapes that left the strongest impression \u2013 it was the people.<\/p>\n

Despite simple living conditions, great challenges and material poverty, the people treated her with a warmth, openness and hospitality that deeply touched her.<\/p>\n

They shared what little they had with a naturalness and warmth that Ruth has not forgotten to this day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the trek, she began to see the region with different eyes. Behind the impressive nature, she recognized the daily challenges faced by the local people \u2013 the arduous transport of goods over steep mountain paths, the often difficult access to education and infrastructure, and the impact of increasing tourism on the environment and the community.<\/p>\n

These experiences changed her perspective permanently.<\/p>\n

A trip sparked a desire to take responsibility and create long-term prospects together with the local people.<\/p>\n

She had no idea that this very journey would become the beginning of a shared story.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

A meeting with a shared vision.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The longer the journey together lasted, the more the impressive mountains faded into the background. Instead, conversations arose about life, responsibility, and how sustainable change can be achieved for the people of Nepal.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Despite their different backgrounds and an initial language barrier, Ruth and Purna quickly discovered that they shared the same values. Both were convinced that sustainable development cannot be imposed from the outside, but can only emerge in collaboration with the local people.<\/p>\n

Listening, understanding and developing solutions together \u2013 this attitude united them from the very beginning.<\/p>\n

A particularly special moment of this trip was the visit to the remote Mu Gompa monastery at around 3,700 meters above sea level. Surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains and encounters with the local people, their conversations deepened, focusing on responsibility, hope, and how real change can come about.<\/p>\n

Today, Ruth and Purna look back on this special place with great gratitude. They are convinced that the foundation for their shared vision was laid there.<\/p>\n

What began with open discussions and shared ideas gradually developed into an idea that later led to the founding of the Infinity Help Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

One opportunity can change an entire life.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Purna Lopchan was born in the small mountain village of Kalika-01, Ramche, Rasuwa District in Langtang National Park. His childhood was marked by simple conditions, hard work, and the challenges of life in a remote mountain region of Nepal.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

A turning point in his life came with the unexpected support of an Australian sponsor. Thanks to this help, Purna was given the opportunity to attend school and forge his own path \u2013 a chance that remains denied to many children in his homeland to this day.<\/p>\n

This experience profoundly shaped him. It showed him how much a single person can achieve when they are willing to take responsibility and open up new perspectives for others.<\/p>\n

With great dedication, Purna worked his way up step by step from porter to licensed trekking and mountaineering guide. At the same time, his desire grew to one day give something back to the people of his homeland.<\/p>\n

Today, through the Infinity Help Foundation, he is committed to ensuring that other children, families, and village communities also have the chance to shape their own future \u2013 just as someone once believed in their future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Infinity Help Foundation was born from a shared vision.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

From many conversations, shared experiences, and the deep conviction that sustainable development can only be achieved together with the local people, a clear vision gradually emerged.<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Ruth and Purna didn't want to provide short-term help or solve individual problems. They wanted to create an organization that offered long-term perspectives, took responsibility, and developed projects together with the village communities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

This vision became reality at the end of 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Infinity Help Foundation has been officially registered in Nepal as a non-profit organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Since then, the organization has been committed to sustainable education, infrastructure, and development projects. All projects are developed in close collaboration with the local population.<\/p>\n

Because the people on the ground know their challenges, their opportunities, and their future best.<\/p>\n

The Infinity Help Foundation therefore does not see itself as an organization that dictates solutions. It supports people in turning their own ideas into reality \u2013 transparently, collaboratively, and with the shared goal of creating long-term prospects for future generations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
